Territorial Days Weekend & Hometown Heroes Parade — Friday, September 4–Monday, September 7, all over town. Chino Valley’s biggest weekend of the year, themed “Get Your Kicks on Route 66!” Highlights include a historical presentation and Movie in the Park Friday; the Lions Pancake Breakfast, a 10K & 2-Mile Walk/Run, and the 39th Annual Territorial Days Parade at 9:00 AM Saturday; food, games, and carnival activities followed by the FFA Corn Dinner; a car show Sunday at 9:00 AM; free swim; and fireworks Sunday at 8:00 PM.
Chess Group — Monday, September 7, 3:00–6:00 PM, Library Community Room, 1020 Palomino Rd. Open chess play for all ages and skill levels; sets provided or bring your own. Free.
Storytime — Tuesday, September 1, 10:00–11:15 AM, Library Community Room. Stories, songs, a snack, and a craft for older kids; book topics rotate weekly. Free.
Read to a Dog — Tuesday, September 1, 11:00 AM–12:00 PM and 3:15–4:15 PM, Library Children’s Area. Kids read aloud to a trained therapy dog and earn a sticker each visit.
Line Dancing — Wednesday, September 2, 11:00 AM–1:30 PM, Community Center Suite A, 1527 N. Road 1 East. Beginner class 11:00–11:50 AM, intermediate 12:00–1:30 PM.
Prescott
Yavapai County Fair — Opens Thursday, September 10, Prescott Rodeo Grounds. Four days of rodeo, carnival rides, livestock exhibits, concerts, and fair food kick off this week and run through September 13.
Prescott Farmers Market — Saturdays, 7:30 AM–12:00 PM, Yavapai College lot at Iron Springs Rd. & Miller Valley Rd. Local produce, baked goods, and crafts every Saturday through October.
First Thursday Jazz Jam — Thursday, September 3, 6:00–9:00 PM, Raven Café, 142 N. Cortez St. Live jazz featuring Chris Counelis.
